Did you know?
Sea level might rise by 7.2 to 23.6 inches by 2100
The sea level has risen by 400 feet in the past 18,000 years. Sea level increases by thermal expansion and loss of mass from glaciers and ice sheets. It is now predicted that the sea level might rise by another 7.2 to 23.6 inches by 2100.
Global warming, which is causing higher temperatures around the world, might increase the sea-level. Higher temperatures melt down glaciers and ice caps. Higher temperatures also increase the snowfall levels, which in turn will increase the amount of water in sea.
