Addition Multiplication Relationship I

Think about the different ways you can find the total number of objects.
Fill in the blank with the total number of insects
1. Add the number of objects in each group and write down the sum.
2. Count the number of groups.
3. Multiply the number of groups with the number of objects in a group.
Note: The sum of objects in each group is the same as the number of groups times the number of objects in one group, when the number of objects is the same in all groups.
There are 2 groups of 3 crickets.
So, there are  6  crickets. Note:3 + 3 = 6 and 2 x 3 = 6
